Friends it is so easy to get distracted by the world. There are many things crying out for our attention. In the current times I find myself getting caught up in all of the rhetoric around me and honestly am disturbed by the extreme reactions and actions in our world. I try to bring balance and respect others. I strive to live like Jesus and completely surrender to live and love selflessly like Jesus Christ did and actually does for me. I respect all others agree or disagree, but my goal is to remember that Jesus Christ would live differently than the rest of society if he were walking the streets in 2020. He would love with his whole being and strive to bring others to live like him.
Facebook friends, I pray for you daily. Maybe not always by name, but by being my friends on Facebook. I desire for you to experience the overwhelming loving powerful presence of God. I pray that we are all protected by the blood of the lamb on our doors so that evil passes over us. I pray for those who are suffering will have peace. I pray that those with financial difficulties will have provision. I pray that all who experience unhealthy living when the door closes at night will have safety. I pray that the God of all nations protects us. I pray that this pandemic goes away and that God will be glorified and revival will happen. I pray for those who have hurt me that I will love them. I pray that those I need to forgive me will forgive me. I pray for balance and reason. I pray for the inner struggles and humanness within be be converted to success and Godliness in my soul. I pray that God will be raised up and that victory be in the Lord.
So am I going to give up in the middle of this chaos? Am I going to stop trusting God and only trust the limited human knowledge of our world? No, I am going to strive to have the faith of Abraham when told to kill Isaac. I am going to follow the God who had Moses lead the Israelites out of certain death in Egypt. I am going to perhaps blindly follow the God of Noah who told him to build the Ark in the middle of a barren waterless land. I am going to have the trust of Gideon who listened to God and whittled down the army to a number that should have been decimated and brought great victory to God. I am going to, maybe not willingly, have the faith of Job when most would curse God and die. I want to be like John the Baptist proclaiming the coming of one greater than me, The Messiah, the Savior of the world. I just want to live with the faith and hope of those I read about. I may be crazy...... but I will have the Lord.

“Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” - Joshua 24:14-15
