A Morning View From the Patio

I honestly am at a loss for words today.
I wonder what can be said that has not already been said.
My spirit is stirred and distressed.
What can I say?
What can I do?
We are in a boat with a raging storm all around us. There is a part of me that is afraid of the unknown. There is a part of me which knows no matter what happens, I am in the palm of God's hand. Peace in the storm comes from Jesus.

“Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” - Mark 4:38-41

But is my faith  trust in Jesus enough? No it is not. What can I do? How can I become a part of the solution? I must and you must be willing to take a risk while struggling in the boat. Put actions behind our words and make a difference. Faith in action.
I am honestly not settled and sure what that looks like, but Lord, in your mercy hear our prayer.

“What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” - James 2:14-17

Peace,
PB
