Just sharing an observation from yesterday. I posted a morning view on Facebook and there were 40 reactions with one comment on it. I also took a picture of a piece of cheese and shared a remembrance of my father and there were 101 reactions with 11 comments.
It really did not take me long to talk about my dad and some cheese. It took awhile to sit and ponder the heart of God as I wrote the morning view. I truly seek wisdom and leading from the Holy Spirit as I write. My heart desires for all to grow deep in the ocean of God's love and grace while changing their hearts of stone to hearts of flesh while sharing the hope of Jesus Christ to the world. I write for me hoping to fall so deep into the God relationship I have that I become more like Jesus Christ.
I bet if I posted something about wearing a mask people would be all over it. If I said anything about any political party, the President or our Constitutional rights, my post would be flooded with comments.
Yet when I post about the one true God who has all of this in his mighty hand and the truth and answer to all the conspiracy theories out there, there is much less response.
Honestly I am not taking this personal, this truly is an observation. What encourages me is that as deeply committed followers of Jesus Christ, there is a lot to do.
First, go deeper. We cannot live deep enough in love and commitment with Jesus Christ.
Second, be faithful. Live the Word of God. Jesus is the Word.
Last, share God's Amazing Grace!
Lord, truly help us to turn our hearts to you.
“Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses. May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us. May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in obedience to him and keep the commands, decrees and laws he gave our ancestors. And may these words of mine, which I have prayed before the Lord, be near to the Lord our God day and night, that he may uphold the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel according to each day’s need, so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God and that there is no other. And may your hearts be fully committed to the Lord our God, to live by his decrees and obey his commands, as at this time.”
