Do you struggle with your self image?
Are you seemingly strong on the outside and weak and fearful on the inside?
Do you ever want to become someone else?
We have self help books with formulas and patterns to help us maximize the best of who we are.
Yet it seems many of us have internal battles with the enemy telling us we are not enough.
People on the outside wish they could become us, while on the inside there is a desire to become them!
High standards, expectations, goal setting, pursuit of wealth and power, drive for success, hard work, perfection and achievement is instilled into us and yet many are empty and unfulfilled.
I would suggest we need to go back to remember who God created us to become, nurture the inner being, refresh the spirit and our soul while we remember God knew us while gently and delicately weaving our creation together with God given uniqueness of who we are. Each one of us are created for perfect relationship with the Creator.
I often forget that I am special and unique created in the image and likeness of God. When I live outside of my intended creation, I am not whole and complete.
Take time to remember you are special. Remember God delicately created you and you are beloved by God.
“For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.” - Psalm 139:13-18
Peace,
