It can be so difficult to know what and how to pray. Often we think we know what and how we need to pray. Yet the Holy Spirit knows our hearts, desires and our needs. We have hope in the Lord and often share our prayers with God from our moments of need, desperation and desire. We cry out for help and may not understand the big picture of what God has for us on the other side of our perceived needs. Yesterday's scripture talked about hope. Today we see where the Holy Spirit is active in the hope we have connecting us to the will of God. We cry out in our weakness and God understands and is involved in the bigger picture of what we do not see or understand.
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” - Romans 8:26-27
I give thanks to God that we can be honest, real and raw with our prayers and there is understanding and clarity in God's response!
Peace,
PB
