The sun is rising slowly, it is still dark outside. Summer is fading and fall is near. Harvest is soon! The crops in the fields are almost ready, just waiting to be brought in.
People are looking to fill their God Box. There is struggle pain and emptiness. The field is full of searching members of God's Creation waiting to be brought in.
As we set aside out time to worship today, it is not about music, clothes, or an engaging sermon vs. a boring sermon. It is about refueling to work in the fields to represent Christ. It is about bringing others to harvest.
Love God more today and love your neighbor more today, and do not forget to love yourself, God loves you.
"Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Peace, PB
