A Morning View From the Patio

I had a committal service the other day in the cemetery across the street from my back yard. I always ponder  all who have passed away from this earth, as well as those who are there to grieve and celebrate the life of an earthly love gone home. Our hope for the deceased is that they are resting and rejoicing in the presence of the Creator and Redeemer of all. My hope for those remaining is that they understand the need for relationship with the same Creator and Redeemer.

But often I wonder. Even though I have faith, I still struggle with the mystery of death. Do not get me wrong, I believe, but I wonder! The good news is that there is hope in our relationship with Jesus Christ. That is the hope I tightly hold on too!

"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died." - 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Peace,
