“One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him.
But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left.” - Matthew 19:13-15 NLT

So as I sit in my chair this morning and my itty bitty 85 plus pound Gabby crawls onto my lap, I thought of this scripture. Little children crawling onto Jesus's lap hugging, laughing and knowing they are safe in the arms of the One who loves them most.
My Gabby just desires the attention, all the attention, from me! She paws at me, groans at me, gives me kisses and loves the belly rub and attention she believes she deserves! My dog adores her humans!
As followers of Christ we need to run to Jesus as little children giving him all the praise, glory and love we can muster up for him. We need to be willing to crawl up on Jesus's lap and adore him as the one who loves us most. Our God adores his humans!
Life will be life with all of the successes and struggles. It will shift and change. But Jesus will always be constant in the ups and downs of life if we are willing crawl up on his lap! Do you adore your God?
There is a space for you on God's lap!
Peace,
PB
