“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” - Hebrews 11:6 NLT
The next scripture seems to show how acting out a simple faith can be easy to do. What we fail to remember is that an unclean woman touching the robe of Jesus could have actually resulted in her death. It was forbidden for a woman to touch a man and if you add in the fact that she was unclean it was an abomination. Yet her faith made her whole.
I am not sure I have such faith. Yes I have a faith in Jesus Christ, but do I really have faith? If so why do I not always live like it?
“Who touched me?” Jesus asked.
Everyone denied it, and Peter said, “Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.”
But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.” When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. “Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” - Luke 8::43-48 NLT
Do you really have enough faith in Christ to practice it or do you just profess faith in Christ? I know I struggle, how about you?
Peace,
PB
